The Wreath Solution

Well, we did it. We finally figured out a solution to our hole in the wall. What do you think?

If you look closely you can tell it is a doggy door turned sideways with a plaque hung over it.

We decided to move the tree and rearrange the furniture and here is our finished project.

We really should take our Christmas picture here next year. What do you think?

This is lovely! Love the doggie door and the plaque looks very good! Perfect spot for a family photo shoot!

Every Christmas Eve, we dress up, do our advent, take pictures in front of the tree, then drag out all the treats (instead of cooking supper). One of the treats is a fruitcake and we put a candle in that. We sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and the kids blow out the candle. Then we eat...tamales, shrimp cocktail, cheese sticks, cheese/meat/crackers, cookies... Then we settle to watch "It's a Wonderful Life." One of these years, I might make copies of those pictures to put in cards...which I haven't mailed out in a couple of years! So busy! =)
Blessings,
Laurie

Yes, most definitely take your picture here next year. Maybe we can even come for a visit and take *our* picture here. BWG It would only take a few minutes. We would be in and out of your hair in no time. ;-)

All kidding aside, it really *is* beautiful.

Pam,
We have lived in the house for 8 years and I think I have finally found a way to decorate that I really like. Thank you so much!

Laurie,
What a fabulous Christmas Eve you all have. We always open one present on Christmas Eve. It is always new pajamas so come Christmas morning they all look great for pictures! LOL
BTW, we finally did get picture cards out for the first time in years!

DeEtta,
Come on down. How I wish many of you all were closer. I would love to have tea with friends in front of the fire while we all just chatted.
