GeTOGether

I know some of you are wondering about the new Ticker at the top of my blog. Well, in 23 days (Yippee!!) I will get to meet some long time friends I have never even seen before. LOL!
With the advent of the internet I have been able to have relationships around the world. I help moderate a home school e-loop and have been on this loop and others like it for almost 10 years. As we share our homeschool journeys, lives, prayers and just about anything else, we have become close friends. The odd thing about this is that most of us have never met. I have met some "in real life", but most I have only know through emails and a few phone calls.
On Feb. 29- Mar 2 I will have the opportunity to put faces on many of the names I have been communicating with for years (I have seen some pictures but that is not the same!).
I use the home school curriculum Tapestry of Grace. The women coming for this GeTOGether all have this in common. It started out as a Texas geTOGether but many were able to find a way to join us. We now have women coming from as far away as Alaska and Hawaii.
I have grown to love these ladies dearly as we have prayed for each other, encouraged each other, lovingly rebuked each other and laughed together. I am so looking forward to meeting them.
They will all converge on my house on Mar. 2nd for a brunch. I can't wait for this weekend.
All of us are sisters in Christ and that is the common bond that has made us all cyber-friends and that now gives us all the desire to meet in person and share our lives together for a weekend.
So, that is the story of my new Ticker. The excitement is building!
